About Project
In order to solve the existing problems, it is necessary to digitize and store in repositories the documents which have particular importance.
A group of prominent Genocide scholars from Armenia and Diaspora have founded ""Masis" Electronic Repository of Documents" Scientific-Cultural NGO whose goals are as follows:
- Creation of a digital repository for documents (paper, audio, video, cinema, and photo materials) on the Armenian Genocide retrieved from the largest archives of the world and preservation of these documents.
- Assistance to productive research on the Armenian Genocide in the subfields of Law, History, Cultural Studies, etc.
- Academic, cultural-educative and educational activities.
Digitization of the documents related to the Armenian Genocide and their retention in a repository via application of modern electronic technologies opens up new legal opportunities. In particular, the digitization of the material, the foundation of the electronic repositoryan and the results of the research carried out with utilization of the practical results granted by such a repository may provide a strong ground for international judiciary institutions to pass resolutions leading toward recognition, retribution and restitution.
